The puzzles felt predictable and much too easy (while simultaneously offering next to 0 explanation on simple things, like a switch at one point that was in a completely bizarre spot on the screen.) I also kind of felt like they're regressing in graphics & animation quality? I actually prefer the character motions & 'art style' of much earlier games. I did play it all the way through and the ending didn't really make it any better. One of those situations where they'd have been better off keeping him as a mysterious easter egg. The characters were bland and uninteresting, too, and the big Sonny reveal was a serious letdown. The reality TV show plot could have been done SO much better. Rather than feeling like an actual Nancy Drew game it felt more like a poor excuse for a Survivor video game. It was shabbily thrown together, unbelievable, and right from the start it throws you in so quickly with 0 explanation.

This game didn't really even seem to have a clear mystery. I've played every Nancy Drew game prior, it has been one of my favorite series' since I was little. This is easily the weakest game of the entire series to date. I only had to go online once to look something up because I was confused by the way it was worded (foot locker combination) and normally I have to look up a few of the puzzles. I think this might be the first ND game I've completed in one-sitting. Other than that the puzzles were fun and not too difficult at all. I hadn't read any reviews or synopsis for this game before I played it so when I heard his name mentioned I was so excited that we were finally going to meet him in person but he wasn't at all what I imagined. As a stand alone character he would have been fine but I've been playing ND games since the beginning and when he was introduced all the way back in game #6, Scarlet Hand, he comes across as a super quirky, alien loving, foil hat wearing, weirdo with an almost paranoid-like personality and it was super fun seeing little Easter-eggs of his existence in subsequent games. I was a little disappointed in Sonny Joon's character. I thought the dialogue was funny and quirky.
